This is part of a three-part whitepaper in coordination with The ePolicy Institute™
IPRO and The ePolicy Institute™ have created this three-part whitepaper, E-Collaboration Tools & Rules: Policies & Best Practices for the Compliant Management of Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Slack, and Other Videoconferencing & Meeting Tools to help North American employers develop and implement compliant E-Collaboration Policy programs.
We encourage you to download and use this guide to help create your own E-Collaboration Policy program.
About Part 3
Once your E-Collaboration Policy and E-Collaboration-Specific Records Retention Policy have been finalized and approved by Legal, it’s time to educate the workforce. Use training for a number of goals, including, but not limited to:
- Demand 100% compliance with policies, 24/7/365, at home, the office, and elsewhere.
- Make clear what employees may (and may not) say, write, and do on e-collaboration tools.
- Define “business record.” Explain that e-collaboration conversations, chat, and content produce records that may be subpoenaed and used as evidence in lawsuits and regulatory investigations.
